Help Those Affected by Cyclone Freddy in Malawi Today
Tropical Cyclone Freddy hit Malawi, leaving over half a million people without homes and causing almost 500 deaths. Nearly half of the country has been affected, with people in urgent need of help for basic necessities like shelter, food, clean water, and health care.
The International Organization for Migration (IOM), together with other UN agencies and the government of Malawi, is working to support those affected in accommodation centres across flood-affected areas. With the potential risk of waterborne diseases, such as cholera, there is a pressing need for immediate assistance to help those affected.
Climate change and disasters are causing more and more people to lose their homes and need to move. IOM is asking for donations to provide immediate help to those affected and to find long-term solutions to help communities prepare for the impacts of climate change. Your donation can make a difference and help provide much-needed assistance to those affected by the cyclone in Malawi.
100% of your donations go to life-saving assistance on the ground.
